Are you referring to white-anglo saxon? you could be right but there is a growing Mexican / Latin American / Asian / African American middle class, growing from poor roots, proving that hard work, saving and investing can succeed where unionism, arrogance and complaining get nowhere.

Most Western nations have a similar problem, arrogant left wing anglo saxon workers who think the 1950s will return as long as they get rid of those evil republican patricians! Meanwhile consumers, business etc vote with their wallets and purchase from / setup where labour costs and quality are best. .. That's globalisation. Western workers haven't faced up to that yet .. you just cannot rely on a dead-beat job to survive anymore! Every westerner needs to Work hard, save hard, invest wisely just to keep themselves wealthy and their country as a 1st world nation .. but too many don't want to try! .. TOO HARD!!, easier to give up and bludge off the government. And everyone blames governments because people don't want to adapt.

Most western nations are facing serious problems but it's mostly WELFARE and ATITUDE related .. too many people haven't saved / invested for retirement / hard times / medical needs etc.
