Packer has the capacity to buy the best and yet has surrounded himself with sychophantic and unqualified "yes men", mates or egomaniacs - Eddie etc.
Both in his personal and business life, he needs somebody to keep him on the straight and narrow(probably the love of good woman with a lot of brains - but Jamie can't buy love with money).
