Will be interesting to see what GRY do here. Getting close to the point where GRY will need every available penny to get the mine build underway.
Perhaps they will sell their PIR holdings and convert to cash ?
Even if so , i'm not expecting it will effect the PIR sp all that much, if at all . Won't be hard for GRY to find a buyer for all those shares off market imo...Especially now that Mali conflict has been dealt a swift blow .
If GRY do not sell in the next 12months , that is a very good sign that they think PIR will get a bid imo. GRY may merge with PIR ? l but looking less likely , as PIR would get more value for shareholders from a cash bid from its northerly neighbours, and would likely hold out for that. GRY are about 5 years (at least) away from being able to make anything like a reasonable bid for PIR. So i think they are in this for the medium term takeover exposure.
Again , now that Mali conflict is winding down , perhaps we will see a bid sooner rather than later as confidence returns to the region.
