they are now EX at that feb date. Going ex div can have a slight down effect on sp but the volatility at present is over riding any "normal" movements. The issue of div reinvest shares (are these the free ones you mean?) usually dont have a down effect as the company gets to keep the cash value thus preserve company value.
The lower the issue price for these will mean that we get more shares. The manipulation of the sp of a company like wtp is unusual. It is "to my knowledge" not on the short or margin list. But, in this market anything is possible.
