Like many of you I received a link to this article from the company today:

    Why TiO2 Feedstock Matters

    http://www.tngltd.com.au/images/tngltd---iloohiepae.pdf

If you are yet to read it, it's well worth your time.

I have mentioned on here previously about the growing scarcity of large high grade (economic) illmenite and rutile deposits.  This article highlights this much more elegantly than I ever could.  You only have to look at ASX listed Iluka resources (Australian major Ti Feedstock producer) who a few years ago bought Sierra Rutile as they were struggling to find quality assets in their tradition first world haunts, ie. Australia & US.

You just have to read this article to see the complexities of working in third world countries - https://www.australianmining.com.au/news/iluka-strike-action-continues-at-sierra-rutile/

If only there was the technology available to create high grade Synthetic Rutile and Pigment directly from low grade Titanomagnetite magnetite deposits? wink.png
