TIM's business model is dead in the water and the MIS co's are sitting on a report saying that climate change will more than likely devastate the forestry lots as rainfall declines (Tassie Bluegum doesn't like sustained dry spells AT ALL!)
They are thrashing around for a new corporate farming model but don't hold your breathe. The land and water assets were acquired at way over the odds (though the poor old tax effective investors wore the brunt of that...). The trouble is that corporate farming and its inherent inefficiencies versus top quartile family farming operations never wins and then they still have to try and extract fees. It doesn't work - and what fees can be justified will not be within light years of the earnings shareholders used to expect.
One direction from here.
Down.
(Maybe with the occasional bounce to suck the punters in.....)
