Thanks Rhys for your informative post, I was unaware of some of those specific points re the mallee trees etc, and I guess what it does do is demonstrate the long experience base and highly professional involvement of COZ to this particularly important issue.
It goes without saying, whatever one's attitude to ETS and carbon trading is, that IT IS A NECESSITY for the future, and COZ provides a means for industry to commercialise that necessity.
IMO COZ is a long term investment, that has demonstrated its potential (re share price attainment) at the height of the debate some 20 months ago when COZ traded around $1.00. Now the ETS issue is not just rearing its head, the debate is not about its inevitability but rather about how to put it into place with the minimum impact on business. REgardless of how that is done, COZ provides a mechanism for trading carbon credits and with some highly respectable major companies already involved with COZ, its now only a matter of time for COZ to reap the rewards of this long-awaited scheme to be fully commercialised.
COZ is at the forefront of this market, and will be one of the main, if not THE main, beneficiary to finalisation of agreements between the government and opposition with respect to carbon trading. I am sure considerable other major companies are just waiting now for the outcomes of the political lobbying before making significant investments through COZ.
