This is my first post and I am happy to share MY VIEWS on a stock I know well and have owned for some time and will continue to own until it gets the value it deserves. You need to understand CO2’s competitive advantage. While you can trade this stock when it runs, the real value will come holding it long term. This could well be a twenty bagger from 20 cents within 2 years and a ten+ bagger from its current price of 35 cents. That doesn't matter as the value will soon be very evident.
    • CO2 are not in the business of planting trees. In fact, they use a contractor to plant the trees. The value is not in planting trees.
    • CO2 are in the business of providing undisputable scientific data to the Australian Carbon Accounting Office that allows them to maximize carbon credits
    • This data has been produced over many many years (10+ years so not that easy to copy)and gives CO2 a huge advantage in maximizing carbon credits per tree planted. CO2 have scientifically proven how much the roots and leaves of the mallee tree (many varieties of this tree) converts carbon dioxide through the photosynthesis process
    • Yes CO2 use the mallee tree. But there are many different varieties of mallee tree, not just one. The fact is, mallee trees are the best from a fire perspective, from a survival perspective and from a biomass perspective (due to their large root system under the ground). As such, you get more carbon absorption from a mallee tree than any other – this has been scientifically proven by CO2 (and externally) and hence why they get more carbon credits per tree than their competitors
    • CO2 also know you can't plant trees without seeds. While anyone can plant trees, getting the seeds for the right kind of trees and proving the CO2 absorption is not so easy – a huge competitive advantage for CO2
CO2 have $8 mill in the bank and a number of already profitable contracts. Whatever the outcome this year of the CPRS (expected to be positive from as early as late November, and if not, definitely in 2010), they will continue to be secure and profitable. Most of their competitors are in the game of planting trees, anyone can do that. Many of them will soon have to raise cash too. Many of them are "self promoting" while CO2 are quietly in the background building a very very strong business on undisputable scientific fact. If ever there was a small stock with very minimal downside but massive upside, it is this one. Not your average run of the mill speculative non cash producing resource or biotech stock.

My opinion only but I see that this stock has a very small following so I thought I would share it with you. Good luck
