Thx for the response. I'm just doing some research into aged care and what, if any, importance, the various companies place on connectivity i.e. Internet, in house communications, etc. right now.Hence my question.
Seems to me that with an aging population, the nurse to patient ratio is going to go to pot sooner rather than later unless they bring more nurses on, which means more cost. One way to keep on top of that should be through technology innovations, and to be frank, I'm really struggling to find any company that is actually making this a priority. To make matters worse, the new generation of aged persons are pretty tech savvy. I'm not sure I'd want to go to one of these homes and not have some of my home comforts. Internet, mobile, pay tv, apple tv etc.
I reckon this is the elephant in the room frankly.
Govt stats suggesting 300% increase in aged care facilities by 2020. And these early baby boomers all know how to use a computer... That's only 3 yrs away!
