AFU......Brambles, a prominent large cap had AGM last week. Lots more press, activist shareholders, proxy advisers, insto investors who must vote etc etc. Remuneration report was controversial. Yet, each resolution at AGM attracted only 74% of voting power! One-quarter did not vote, did not care despite the presence of shareholder activism, press etc. thats very typical for a large cap. The numbers are usually smaller for small cap, and smaller again for microcap.
Yoda agrees. The matter facing CTN shareholders is grave. But Yoda subscribes to AI theory. No, not Artificial Intelligence. Arbitraging Indifference. Thats what the gang at CTN-CGA is counting on.
Applies to nations as well. Whats more important than having a say in who leads your country?
Yet, in the USA, where voting is Not compulsory, half did not vote. Now, they complain of being Trumped. Too late.
Yoda hopes the silent majority in CTN will wake up to being treated as an afterthought.
