jdiesel, I first bought into this stock when there were no posts on HC and virtually not trading
I announced in April 2011 on HC that it was time to do some very serious profit taking in silver stocks. The last parcel I sold in April 11 of CCU was 20,000 at $1.14. I still sit on around 500,000 shares once i take up my rights

If you check my post back then you will observe there were no thumbs up for this superb piece of advice.

Now with all due respect to the views of others here, I have studied the silver market since 2000 when I was alerted to the fact that you could make serious money speculating on silver.

Consequently my understanding of silver is about as complete as it can get for a speculator without actually working on the silver desk of a bullion bank or being part of CPM group.

The great irony of the situation is that if you were to actually do some serious research on the matter you would discover that the bullion banks are in fact long physical and short silver in the futures market or OTC to hedge their long. Their main line of business is leasing silver to industrial fabricators and jewellers who are more than happy to borrow the silver than actuially pay for it because its a very expensive stock time to finance.

But such straighforawrd explanations do not appeal to the hucksters on the internet whose business it is to sell conspiracy and manipulation theories

The other great irony is that the biggest "manipulations " in silver are from longs, the classic corner, such as Buffett in 97/98

independent analysis and thinking are the foundation of success in the markets, not reading nutcase bloggers on the internet
