For many it is the failure of religion to meet their needs. For many others they turn away in disgust.
(Titus 1:16) They publicly declare that they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort.

With counterfeit words they will call Christ Jesus Lord, Master and Owner, but they will deny him by the way they live in private.

(2 Peter 2:2) Furthermore, many will follow their brazen conduct, and because of them the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively.

''Brazen conduct'' is now so common that for many it is considered normal.
(Isaiah 5:20) Woe to those who say that good is bad and bad is good, Those who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, Those who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
