Wouldn't take much to cause them to fail. The market cap isn't huge. If one of the big funds was shrewd they could make a killing from the UBS shorts. All they would need to do it lock up the shares the shorters need to borrow and they'd be screwed. Its been known to happen where the shorters get too cocky and the SP goes up on unexpected news. Shorting only works if they are able to borrow the shares.
