Yup, Hydroxide Chemistry and the 8:1:1 is still finding hurdles, you will find most battery manufactures are sticking with 6:2:2 and using Carbonate & Chloride as much as possible because its more stable and has proven the test of time so far, auto manufactures will not risk new chemistries until its tried and test and long life reliable... don't want a Samsung disaster in your fleet.
Anodes is where they are making advances and solid state. Solid state is still 10 years away so it will be 6:2:2 and Carbonate & Chloride that will be the highest demand until 2030 IMO.
