No- only gross shorts are posted the following day
The graph of outstanding shorts is 4 days behind
This is an advantage short sellers have over long side trading- when the longs were moved to T plus 2, short sellers should have been moved to t plus 3 and reported before market open - with a view to making both data the same over time- IE both reported daily- anyway I digress ( as a short seller in the gfc I thought the agreed terms of new reporting of shorts were absurd )
Imo shorts have been high indollar value and number this last week- Tuesday we will find out I guess
why down 3.8% today( $4.27) ???, page-56
