Geographic farm diversity....let me give you an oversimplified example. A farm in SW Victoria where it is wet and rainy and has good natural grown growth whilst another farm might be in northern Victoria where it is hot and dry but well irrigated and a higher level of grain feed and hay is used. To take it to the extreme on a national basis would be to have another farm in SW Western Australia to offset market revenue or proximity exposures, so lets say Denmark or even Manjimup (and here we could get Black Perigord Truffles served with fresh free range eggs for brekkie as well as fresh pasteurized but non-homogenised milk on our australian wheaties). Or to keep @WaggaDave happy we could go even more diverse and buy a dairy farm at Wagga Wagga in NSW and have fresh sour cream on our tatties with a decent Wagu Steak for dinner (in 30+ bloody degrees heat and pesky flies).
If that is considered an identity or politically diversity thang then I will eat my f-Akubra.
