Why ? prove me otherwise, I think RIO and BHP are the current 2 worst investments you can make, especially BHP, Iron ore has entered the gates of hell and oil has one foot in the gate, BHPB specialize in both.
When was the last time Andrew M or Sam W. made large on market buys of their own companies stock....lol
I thought spending billions on capex i.e. investments is suppose to bring you more money/margin in return, do you see that happening with BHP ? if so how...show my figures.
Not only do both have no idea ( actually its not no idea its not a care in hell) they can't even get their timing right, Its sour grapes for them that Fortescue metals group 155/mt have come on line at the right time (FY14) and both RIO/BHPB lags.
Im telling ya both those guys dont give a rats. THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR MONEY.
Between FY12-FY14 BHPB C1 costs only reduced by 7%
Between FY12-FY14 FMG C1 costs have reduced by over 30%
Who's on the game ?
How much debt does BHPB $30 Billion (clarify as not 100% sure)
Its just a matter of a couple years and FMG will be neck and neck with BHP on delivered costs.
Why would you back on old fart sleeping behind the wheel that does not give a damn where your SP ends up ??????????
I'm not wanting to start an argument or cross promote but honestly if i were holding RIO or BHP i would sell and buy FMG, The dynamics will outperform the other 2 hands down in years to come

Agree rcman. I think both BHP and RIO are way overvalued IMO and as such i am short both. Higher up of course. I think they are worth at the max half to a quarter of what they are currently trading at. That said the masses and the brokers seems to have a real love affair with both. So i am not to sure how low they will acctually go. The force seems strong with both of them. But fundamentally they are very expensive.
