most of australia't coal are hard coal with high qualiy, it is similar to rock, so it can sell directly after mined.
but most of africa coal are low quality coal with high percentage of dirt, they are similar to mud or soil. and you have to build a factory to wash them first before you can sell them.
I believe washability should be easy, but the question is how much it cost to reach export quality.
I think nihilism more worry about mining cost becase 100m, we have to wait for bfs to find out how much it cost to mine at 100m.
in Australia where nahilism work, most of mine are open pit, and any underground mining will classify as un-economc. but in africa, there are lots of undergroud mining, and mining operation is so cheap compare to australia.
but Africa is not same as Australia, it is hard to find surface mining in there and their labour is much cheaper than australia.
