Petbarn positions itself as one of Australia's largest pet store retailers with key locations around Australia. Amazon decide (in the short term) rather than to try and set-up it's own system for all those bulky deliveries and compete with an established Petbarn, they get into bed with them. Petbarn already have a click-and-collect system up and running, maybe if Amazon got into a commercial arrangement with Petbarn to use their stores as a collection point for purchases made on the Amazon website the Amazon effect would be minimized. I know Amazion are aggressive and maybe they would rather eliminate everyone than make these kind of arrangements, but it is surely not beyond the realms of possibility.
