As a very long suffering holder of a modest amount of CQT and despite the carnage after the announcement today, I actually see some upside to what is proposed. While knowing almost nothing o f Catalpa prior to last night, I am content in the knowledge that their goals are more likely to yield the benefits I seek than the current CQT team which is way more credible than that which it replaced but a little too mercenary for my liking. To me the biggest issues are integrity of the Board (knowing a couple of them that is a tick) and having a strategy likely to exceed present expectations (from what I can see on the public record could well be) so on that alone I am comfortable. A fairly rudimentary valuation (using just Cracow and Mt Rawdon and their 38% ?price?) shows the new company worth $1.1B and after dilution, the CQT (and CAH) share is around 27% which is around 18% more the market currently assigns to them ? add in some blue sky and it sounds like a good deal to me
Cheers, Nick
