Banning Zerohedge is a ridiculous strategy. Who was the immature consultant that came up with that idea?
Zero Hedge contributors come from all sides of politics, (including pro-Putin politics) and the site also hosts some interesting economic articles.
I don't agree with a lot of what is posted on Zero Hedge but the site helps me to understand context. I need to know where people I disagee with are coming from. I need to understand many perspectives if I'm to understand anything about anything. Our own views are next to worthless unless we fully understand alternative views.
I don't personally regard the so-called extreme far right as right wing at all. This is because they typically believe in big government agendas which are necessary to push their ultra nationalist views. Their radical views are anything but conservative.
True conservatives are typically as libertarian as the Greens on social issues because they don't see a role for government telling people how to live beyond some strict law and order parameters. Unlike the Greens, true conservatives push for free enterprise with social safety nets being aimed more wholly at keeping working age people in the workforce.
In any case, I engoy flaming those Zero Hedge articles I disagree with while supporting other Zero Hedge articles . Many people holding different views to me will hold the same view about the necessity for open discussion and debate.
