ASIC reports daily open short positions.

ASX reports daily gross new shorts.

Recently highest open shorts on 5/3/2019: 35.5m
gross new shorts on 6/3/2019: 3.5m, but end of day open shorts actually reduced to 35.2m
similarly happened to 7/3/19, gross daily new shorts: 1.7m, end of day open shorts reduced to 35.1m

I expect gross new shorts to reduce from this Friday as share buyback starts.
