p.64 of Fridays Fin review had more comment and gives more insight into Murchison and Midwest's aspirations(again no mention of GIR but has obvious implications for any GIR deposit in Weld Range)...
"Both Midwest and Murchison have conceded the obvious synergies of combining the latter's Jack Hills project with Weld range to create a group capable of producing 45 million tonnes of iron ore a year from the far eastern corner of the mid-west region"..."Murchison is being supports by Japan's Mitsubishi, and Chinese group Sinosteel is workign with Midwest"
