DIsclaimer: I own NAB shares, but a much smaller parcel then TLS.

They were sacked simply because they sucked really big at the royal commission. Honestly, Penn and TLS chair isn't as bad. Sure we gripe about them due to the SP decline, but realistically, TLS is doing its best on a bad situation; NBN. Till there is a royal comission on say telco. Compared to what the banks have been doing over the past 30 years. Telcos are doing great. We have "real" competitions, prices are kept low, issues, network outages are fixed. I really do think the government should have a more hands off approach to telcos unlike the banking/finance sector. The ban on Huawei is probably the the type of decision the government should be doing.  Another gripe I have is the none compete clause against NBN for the wireless space. Then again, TLS is paid not to compete.
