Well lets do away with the subsidies and see how many are built or installed on roof tops. Why are so many new coal power stations being built in developing countries, to say they are more expensive does not make any sense. The fact of the matter is renewables do not provide base load power sufficient for industry or domestic use for that matter when there is no wind and little sun. I'm afraid that 'dirty' coal that we ship to other countries as fast as we can dig it out of the ground will provide the bulk of our power for many years to come.
