I am not really qualified to speak on Thorium but will do some reading.
As for the Bat/bird killing, noise polluting, landscape destroying wind turbines they ironically would win the vote in all those categories up against a nuclear power station.
Solar panels and wind will be winners in the energy battle based purely on economics and that is why production and installation is accelerating.
In saying that Asia is apparently about to go on nuclear power station spending spree.
