As this puppy sits at these lower levels and even tempts going lower, one has to think that Canopy has already long hatched its takeover plan. Having such a plan coincide with these post-escrow lows seems to make some sense to me. One thing I know is that with the recent bounce on the US markets and Canopys current share price flirting with the higher range, it's a nice set of dynamics to pull something like this off. My play would be to get in on this and play it for the pop, but get out and buy back into Canopy on a low. I live in Ottawa, (not too far from Canopy HQ) and have followed the space for a number of years. Sometimes I just feel like investors on these forums have no idea how big these industries are going to be. This is going to be a behemoth...just wait until you Aussies get to try CBD bevies, let alone CBG ones.....it's going to be game over! And then there's Canopys other connections, like in Canopy Beckley, Alcalibre (an opiod giant in Spain), and their patent protection team...they'll be tops in the medical market eventually too. (that is, when they sell the other half of the company to Sanofi....and run all the way to the Bank). Australia is so far behind that there is no possible way to get in on this, other than to have foreign companies invest and for the local governments to profiteer off the new tax base. This has been and will continue to be a commonwealth agenda, and for some reason or other Canopy seems to have been dawned the golden knight. If you are a long term bag holder....beware that this could easily be bought out with overpriced shares. Canopys Market Cap is currently $20B....their sales...maybe $50-75M/quarter. If you're willing to wait it out, at least they will provide a return for you in time. Otherwise, without some outside saviour...this company has little value on its own.
