Cheers Dalesman, and thanks again for the links in your post earlier today. Great timing for me as I just decided to do some further research on KEY today, in particular their Tanzanian interests.
Most of the Tanzanian websites I looked at were fairly average in terms of up to date information.
From what I've read it sounds to me that the JV partners only need to worry about the costs of linking KN#1 to the gas processing plant (about 3kms away). The tie in, processing and transportation costs will then be factored in to the price of any gas sale contracts. Positive for KEY as it means little up front funding required to commercialise the discovery.
Cash at bank can therefore be retained for the time being to fund new seismic and the drilling of one well in the Borsano Block (which hopefully will occur in 2009).
