I'll start by saying that I don't have a lot of experience with investing with company's that make the transition from explorer to solid producer (although I suppose the exploring never really stops). Most of my past experience with explorers has been short term trading usually meaning that I have watched them go from explorer to dotcom and back again, some successfully, some never to be seen again.
I was wondering what your thoughts were on STU and a future dividend policy. Do you think there is a possibility of declaring dividends in the short - medium term or are they still too "junior" for that? What do you see as a critical point that might indicate the time is approaching to pay back some cash to investors? Is it simply when they have more money than they can spend on their current exploration program and infrastructure needs? Or is that too simplistic?
I ask for a couple of reasons. One is that it will indicate a maturing of the company and may attract a different kind of shareholder (ie insto's and investors with far fewer "traders") and two it makes my negative gearing claims easier to justify to the ATO if I can show the income (no matter how small) that the debt is producing.
