I've made my views on technical analysis known with comments about runes and ouija boards etc. However I am not averse to looking at charts to see where we've been and to maybe look for some wisdom about long term trends. Whilst the overall picture remains glum for those who invested at the start of NuSep especially if they have not been willing or able to average the cost of their holding downwards, I think the picture is rosier for those who have. I originally bought in July 2008 at 12cents before the big consolidation, but through (hopefully judicious) purchases I now have an average cost below 7 cents. I am not intending to "ramp" and I certainly don't resile from anything I have said about the urgent need for our Board to address the corporate governance matters many of us complain of, but a chart I have looked at this afternoon gives me food for thought and perhaps cause for some optimism.

I would be interested in what others here think. If you follow the link to ASX corporate information

and scroll down to the price chart you will see below it a link to other charting options available. If you then click on this and select the S&P ASX Small Ords index and then go to the last variable and select "monthly prices over 5 years" and then create chart...you should be looking at the chart I want to discuss...
Now am I correct in thinking it shows:

    A) NSP performed less badly than the index in calendar 2008?

    B) the upward vertical jump in mid 2009 from approx 4 cents to approx 30 cents was a result of the share consolidation?

    C) If so doesn't it look as if the move dramatically increased volatility?

    D) Doesn't it appear that there was some sort of correlation with the index up until "Gohgate" and the troubles?

    E) The increased volume associated with the "rebels" departing peaked in Feb/March?

    F) NSP significantly outperformed the index between March and August this year?

Now if I am reading this thing correctly perhaps, just perhaps it allows for some optimism. Optimism that we can outperform the index if our Board can finally grasp the nettle and provide some honest answers without the spin.

    Regards,
