I think I agree with your comments; including the etc, etc bit; also, I don't think the sinkhole has got much to do with it.
The sink hole seems to be dying as an issue for oilers, and the public, in the area, but not for the Texas brine company, who are (rightly? IMO)held accountable for the problems.
