Most likely the same reason he also bought in much higher. Has been wrong so far, history says he will be wrong again.
IMO his better option would have been too communicate with Magna with a off market purchase of their shares ( un exercised ) con notes.
No doubt he wouldn't stupidly be throwing away his money. But it's not the light at the end of the tunnel.

Why do you think RM sold his shares prior to the court of appeal results, then invested in AUL, in which last year released one of AVQs quarterlies.
I understand they share the same office. That answer won't suffice.
