Corruption allegations need to be investigated, if found correct a similar circumstance in Australia would result in a very lengthy jail term. The Solomon Islands have been trying to fight corruption for ages, (so they say), but it appears to be right under their noses. If they don't fight corruption the People of the SI will be poor forever, their only income will be the handouts from overseas taxpayers, and that too can end up in corrupt pockets. If you feed corruption you will only attract corrupt companies. Isn't that what's happened to logging ?? Do you want to see the same in mining ??
