The main excitement point about Maintirano appears to be the chance of finding an analogous deposit to the Keweenaw Copper Province. However, Keweenaw is the only province in the world that exists of this type... I guess there's a chance of manto-type deposits or similar but I can count the number of viable manto-type deposits on one hand as well.
The province appears to be mineralogically and structurally complex from what little description there is. I don't like complex. New Zealand epithermal is rather more comforting.
Sure, it could always come off but so could randomly dropping a drill bit anywhere (I'll nonetheless be forced to hail Porter as a genius if there is something worthwhile). Could've gotten some prospects in known mineral provinces in a company with better infrastructure for the same price.
That's what I don't like about it, but I'm stuck so here's hoping.
