I doubt it, the courts have spoken and are forcing them to play the game. Dates have been set for evidence to consider if the appeals are even valid, thats this month some time.

Yep Granity is a great place (lived in Ngakawau outside the SE loadout facility for 20 years), its a depressing little crap hole if you don't have a job and have a family to support tho. Ive seen far too many of my family friends struggle for years because of the shitty economy there, in recent years wen SE was doing "well" Westport started booming everyone had jobs and were buying houses in the area. look at the housing figures and tell me that wasn't caused by the income from the mines.
