Yes Pb/Zn ore from Rosebery is shipped from Burnie and so is
magnetite from the Kara Mine.
Port of Burnie is restricted to maximum size "MiniMax" vessels due to the lack of depth at the loading facility berth.
The turn around time is critical if loading maximum of 40,000T of materials otherwise the vessels would be potentially bent/broken sitting on the bottom at the dock - let alone steaming out.
