The smartcard industry appears lifeless at times. It moves ever so slowly. But it has always been an upwards curve in terms of development and deployment. The real issue ofcourse has yet to be resolved but the inexorable march towards contactless payments is and has remained ON as ever.
Now SB you would be a glass half full type and would recognise a 'fait accompli' at first glance. But then would a blackadder be recognised with respect or simply dismissed as a snake oil salesman??
