not be be a pain, but that doesnt really explain anything, but im always interested in new ideas... why would it act differently if there were "less shares to sell"?
panic selling is panic selling, BAL only has 96m shares on issue and got smashed 40% in a day...
presumably that logic would affect the SP on the way up too? more shares to buy?
i just did a quick google and couldnt find anything on the topic...
this article talks about stock splits increasing volatility, but i dont think thats directly related as i would think the buzz and hype around the stock split probably creates a false market that traders look to exploit:
