I just happened to be watching tse yesterday when the plunge happened. It seemed to me at the time that the market was not sure about the spp and was still digesting the other anns.
Anyway, there was some weakness for sure and like a pack of wolves the shorters drove the price from an already silly 3.10 to an insane 2.87. I broke my rule about averaging down and doubled up. The shorting on wed was around about 5% of the trades, on thurs it was up to 30% of the trades. They probably did well if they were quick.
Also, have to disagree with budd about there being a case for the price to drop further. It closed safely above the recent support level of 3.03 and that was confirmed today.
I counted eleven announcements released on 26aug, this is too many, and a wise investor would stay out until reading them all, hence the weakness.
