Well, all I can say is that I was going to be charged $800 for the procedure in Canberra, but instead had a lovely trip to Bowral Medical Centre and no cash changed hands. I was strapped to a trolley and in the machine for about 45 minutes. Then had a sensational lunch. Yeah, maybe something weird is going on... some people charge just the Medicare fee, some people charge whatever they like. We pay top cover health insurance as well, about $500 per month. Go figure.
