They have commented on the progress of the Ball Mill! They announced a week and a half ago that it was being commissioned on 25th May. I don't know what level of progress information you're asking for but maybe it's something like this:

1. We're opening the mill up.
2. We've put the steel balls in
3. Now we've put some oversize in it
4. Now we're spinning it like a giant washing machine
5. Now we are removing the crushed oversize.

As to Magna's intentions, I'd say being an investment firm, they would like to make a profit. Through investing their money. While they will have a board seat their core business is not in running mines. Maybe they will help the board make their announcements more market friendly.

If they didn't think there was a reasonable chance of making some coin out of CCU they wouldn't have stumped up the cash.
