I disagree. I think it’s unprofessional of E&Y to have both a landlord/lessee and an auditor/client relationship. Especially for a large public company (now smaller). Gives rise to the perceived risk of conflict.
As the great Julius said to his missus on hearing rumours of an affair, “Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion”
Especially in view of what’s transpired to the audited numbers since.
