re: my pet dog dying My old dog died two years ago Steve. It wasn't cancer it was two paralysis ticks. She loved lying in long grass you see.

The vet gave her the serum but she was 15 which is pretty old for a dog. She recovered from the ticks but having her lower body paralysed had caused a clot that went to her brain and she died suddenly.

I picked her up from the vets the next day, frozen solid from the freezer in a black plastic bag, put her in my car and took her home to be buried. Dug a big hole and planted a tree over her grave. When I cut open the bag she had ice crystals around her eyes, like little diamonds. I wept - great big body-wracking sobs that I've never experienced at the loss of a human.

I'm sorry that you lost your dog, especially when he was so important to you, but I thank you for telling the story.
