We're used to assays done for zone 1, which was 25-35m thick. Just guessing, but allowing for a margin either side they might only have assayed ~70m per hole? That took 3-4 weeks to turn around. Compare to say hole 66D that we're waiting on, you've got:
- zone 1 about 25-35m thick,
- zone 2 of about 50m and
- zone 3 of 25-35m thick.
They might therefore be sampling and assays up to 200m for those deep holes like 66D, vs the more usual 70m. When you think about it like that, you can see why they're taking a little longer. I don't think they're particularly overdue. I'm hopeful we'll get something in the next few trading days, but just guessing at when they finished the different holes. In view of the visuals they've reported and the widths, I wonder whether they'll roll assays for 63D & 66D together with 2-4 others, say 67D, 68D and 60D. Again, that fits MOD's usual reporting practice. I certainly don't see any reason to suggest " the assays are not as good as hoped".
