lot of people dragging money out of super and dumping it into farmland.people are sick of renting out houses and dealing with tenants,and like the ease of bare land.
$600 to $800 a dse is the figure being commonly used for commercial acres. almost bubble prices. people are scared and want something simple like land. $160 wheat does not support these prices,but the expectation of big profits in farming in 10 years underpins all buying.
paying 50 woolworths shares for land that would lamb down one ewe,or grow $200 worth of wheat seems a high price,but some people sleep better with land.
