They will fix it eventually. Telstra is probably coming off handing out the free dividends from the 11 billion so the government still wants to nurse maid them. It has been an unfair market for a long time though, everything telstra has done with the network is taxpayer funded essentially as well, but the main problem was they got a free headstart on 3g, which was not sensible for a normal private company to do. Tricky to normalise it all though.
