I guess selling at 50 cents to buy shares at 50 cents is silly but if you get 1 free option for every two shares bought it makes sense to trade plain 50 cent shares for 50 cent shares with free options.
I think this one big trade sent shivers down other holders backs and they sold without understanding why the sale happened. A problem with an illiquid stock.
Of course if you are the person who sold the 300k, you might know the real reason why.
