Mmegi Online has an article on( the new) Selkirk, which has lain "dormant since 2002". A BFS now underway by BCL and Worley Parsons.
They mention quite a decent throughput at 5m. tonnes pa.; concentrate shipped to Selebi and will increase mine life 5 to 6 years.
They refer to the"proposed" project, giving mixed signals again as
earlier BCL said the project already in progress, but probably journalistic slip.
Interestingly the "evaluated portion" has ore of 0.21% Ni and 0.23% Cu, very similar to the grade mined earlier, and way less than BML ore, but big volume.
The final para worth a read too as it outlines the basic parameters of the operation. No mention of Maibele but worth a scan for insight to what they may be considering for Maibele.
