This is what XPE did when they were struggling with their main IOT product which didn't sell. They bought another company called Jemsoft which was making revenue. They promoted the acquisition as adding a substantial piece in Xped’s larger vision of building a complete end to end Internet of Things platform. It has not worked out.
I guess BUD think repackaging the lighting and ohm into one larger package will drive more demand and make it more appealing?
