In reply to Ajax, depending on the holders tax situation it may have been better to sell cum-dividend for a capital gain (and pay half marginal tax rate if held for more than 12 months) rather than get the dividend, particularly if your marginal tax rate is greater than 30%.
Based on my past experience in these situations my guess is that the share price will drift a little lower in the short term. Just my opinion. -- My advice is free and worth every cent.
